In her self published book, 'Virginia, Where Do You Keep The Parachute?',
Virginia recounts her many flying adventures and her life in the air.
Virginia Rabung learned to fly before she learned to drive, soloing at
Stinson Airport, McCook, Illinois, in 1944 and then received her Private
Pilot Certificate in 1950 at Sky Harbor Airport in Northbrook, Illinois.
She obtained her Instrument rating in 1950 and Commercial certificate
along with CAP checkout in 1961.

Virginia has flow to Cuba several times and flown around South Africa.
She owned a Cessna 140 for many years and flew it all around the USA.
She has been an active member of the Ninty-Nines, EAA and a member of AOPA.
for over 60 years.
Virginia has recieved the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award, and has been
inducted into the Illinois Aviation Hall of Fame.
The softcover book is spriral bound and is over 200 pages. It contains
24 chapters of stories covering her many flights to Cuba, Flights around
the US and her Fly It Yourself Safari in South Africa There are color
pictures throughout and copies of Virginia's newspaper clippings
and family photos
